  • Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Handsome Vase made at Yale University in 1896.

As the script on the bottom indicates, it was made by Fred Emmons.

The neck is entwined by a vine and the base with a stripe.  One side features "Yale" Surrounded by a Wreath and the other side a detailed University Ensiglia.  "B. G. G., Oct. 22, '96" is emblazoned one one side and "97" on the other.  Stands 14" tall.

Excellent Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.

I am a Princeton Seminary man myself, but still appreciate the grand Yale pottery tradition!  This vase is truly a remarkable piece.
