    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Quart Lidded Preserve Jar made and stamped by the "West Troy, N.Y. Pottery." 

     

    This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871 (private research)

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp and Capacity Number with Cobalt Wash and a Brushed Cobalt Floral in Bright Blue.  Stands 10 5/8" tall.   

     

    Exceptional Condition.  Both jar and lid are as made.  No damage of any kind.  Some ash from the kiln adhered to the rim and to the left of the flower in the making.
