Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features Three Top and Two Bottom Stripes that Frame the Company Advertising Surrounding the Capacity Number.  Stands 12 1/4" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  Some water glass staining inside and some traces outside, and a 1 1/2" chip on the bottom of the left side.  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A convex base in the making which pads level out.
