Item 11651
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Stunning 1 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot!
The decoration indicates that it was made by Robert T. Williams of New Geneva, Pennsylvania. Williams worked in New Geneva from 1882 to 1895 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp. 168-170).
This beauty features a Most Unusual and Pleasing Decoration! A top and bottom straight stripe frame the capacity number in the middle flanked by leaves with a wavy stripe and vertical dashes above and below. I have never seen a jar quite like this. Measures 9 1/2" tall and 8 1/2' wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. A nearly invisible inverted Y hairline to the left of the decoration, horizontally 3" at the base and 5" vertically (closeup). Otherwise, as made.
