Coming  to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "I. V. Machett." 
 
This is the work of I. V. Machett, Jr. who worked in Cornwall, N.Y. from 1859-1867, first with his father and then independently (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 65 and 82-83).
 
This beauty features a Cute Squatty Form, Pottery Stamp,  and a Freehand Cobalt Tulip.  The tulip has four leaces and a blossom with four petals that embrace the pottery stamp..  Stands 9 1/2" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the back of the spout, a 1/4" chip on the base, and a 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some roughness on the top of the spout in the making.  
 
Ships double-boxed, insured, and FREE
