Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantabulous 2 Gallon Cream Pot made and stamped "Charlestown."
This is the work of Edward and Thomas Edmands who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts from 1852-1868 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).
This beauty features a Cream Pot Form with Tall Neck and Bulbous Body, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Fancy Brushed Cobalt Floral with Six Leaves and Three Large Blossoms. The floral wraps around the front with a big hug. Pretty, shiny cobalt. Stands 11" tall.
Excellent Condition. Two narrow chips inside the rim (1/2", 5/8"). That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
