Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Blue and White Spongeware Bean Pot.
This beauty is attributed to the Uhl Pottery of Huntingburg, Indiana which specialized in these pots. They were in business in Huntingburg from 1891 into the 20th century (Anna Mary Feldmeyer and Kara Holtzman, Uhl Pottery, 2nd ed., p. 45).
This bean pot came in at least three different sizes, and this is the 2 Quart Size.
Thie beauty features beautiful blue sponging and matching lid. Measures 4 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide across the bottom.
Excellent Condition. The pot is as made. No damage of any kind. The lid has a 1/2" ping on the edge and two surface craze lines (closeup). Otherwise, as made.
