Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "G. S. Guy & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."  

 

This is the work of George S. Guy who worked in Fort Edward from 1882 to 1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68). 

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Bird Poised on a Branch.  The decoration is drawn with a slip cup in brilliant cobalt blue.  Measures 10 1/4" tall and 10 3/4" wide across the top.

 

Excellent Condition.  Four small chips inside the rim (1/4" to 1/2"), three chips outside the rim (1/4" to 1/2"), and a narrow 3/8" chip under the left handle.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Very clean example.
