Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Superb 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "T. F. Reppert, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of Thomas Reppert who worked in Greensboro solo from 1884-1890 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp 157-58).
 
This beauty features a Straight and Wavy Stripe at the Top, Straight Stripe at the Bottom, and the Company Advertising centered around a Floral in the Middle and Decorated at the Top with Tulips and the Bottom with Leaves, followed by the Capacity Number Flanked by Florals at the Bottom.   Crisp and complete stenciling with dark and shiny cobalt.  Superb color with light gray supporting dark decoration.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.  
 
One of the prettiest pieces by Reppert out there. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Some small scattered stains.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Slightly out of round on top in the making.
