Item 11623

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 2 Gallon Jug with a Rabbit Marked "Albany."

It is attributed to R. O'Connell of Albany, New York.

Circa 1860, this beauty features a Folk Art Rabbit on Elaborate Ground Cover.  The rabbit is much, much larger than those found on Norton Stoneware and the ground cover more intricate.  The decoration is executed with a slip cup using bright and shiny cobalt.  Stands 15" tall.

Excellent Condition.   Three chips inside (1/4" to 3/8"), a surface ping line on the right side, and a 3/4" chip on the back of the spout, and some wear around the base.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
