Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."
This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Freehand Capacity Number to its Right, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip. The tulip sports six leaves and a blossom with three petals. Measures 9" tall and 10 1/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A narrow 1/2" chip inside the rim and two narrow chips on the front bottom edge (1/2", 3/4"). No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
