Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jar with Comma Vining stamped "RCR."
This is the work of Richard Remmey who ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Squared Rim, and Five Brushed Cobalt Units of Comma Vining around the Top. Stands 9" tall.
