Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Crock made in Red Wing, Minnesota at the End of the 19th Century.
This crock is found in Dan DePasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Stoneware Encyclopedia, p. 15.
This beauty features the classic Red Wing "Double P" or "Ribcage" Decoration Drawn with a Slip Cup on a Warm Salt Glaze. Measures 11 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. A 3/8" chip inside the rim, a 5" horizontal hairline running a 1/2" up from the base in the back (closeup), and a couple stains. No outer rim or base chips, cracks, or restoration.
