Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Extremelty Rare Blue and White Pitcher in the Grazing Cow Pattern. Only 5" tall!
It was made by the A. E. Hull Pottery Company of Ohio in the early 1900's and was marketed as a "Dairy Jug."
This beauty features a Medallion with Two Grazing Cows on Each Side, with a Top and Bottom Rope and Scroll Border and a Rope Handle. Cobalt accent to the decoration. Strong and crisp mold lines too! (Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 52-54)
This pitcher came in at least 5 sizes, and this is the extremely rare 5" size. I have never seen another example- ever.
