Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Gallon Stoneware Churn from Northeastern Ohio.
Circa 1860, this beauty features Rounded Middle, Applied Handles with Cobalt Accent on the Front of Each, Freehand Capacity Number, and a Brushed Dark Cobalt Plant with 14 Leaves and 4 Blossoms. A very elaborate floral for this period in Ohio stoneware making. Stands 18 3/4" tall.
Comes fully outfitted with Churn Guide and Dasher.
Excellent Condition. Wear and a few chips around the inner lid-seating ring, a 1/2" chip inside the rim, a surface Y craze line below the right handle (closeup), and two small chips on the bottom (1/4", 1/2"). No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
