Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Crock.
Its form and decoration indicate that it was made by John Bell made pottery in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania from 1840-1880 (H. E. Comstock, The Pottery of the Shenandoah Valley Region, 106-162).
This beauty features a Wide Squared Tooled Rim and Footer, Applied Handles with Deep Grooves and Two Brushed Cobalt Leaves on Each Side. Measures 8 1/2" tall and 9 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A faint 3" surface line on the bottom. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Some hot spots in the making.
