Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 8" Stoneware Jar made for "Chas. H. Armstrong, Armstrong Station PA."
Armstrong Station was a Coal Patch Town on the East Bank of the Youghiogheny River in Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania south of Pittsburgh.
Circa 1880 and created by either James Hamilton or Hamilton and Jones in Greensboro, this beauty features Four Lines of Rich Cobalt Advertising with Center Floral. Stands 8" tall.
Excellent Condition. Modest surface wear. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
One of the rarest Pennsylvania jars that I have ever had to sell.
