Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."
This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
Fisher made the jug for the merchands, "Powell & Gilbert, Amsterdam. N.Y."
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Pottery Stamp and Three Lines of Cobalt Script. Stands 11" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind.
