Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantabulous 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "New York Stoneware Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
This company was in operation in Fort Edward, New York from 1859-1885.
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Bird on a Branch Looking over its Shoulder created with a Slip Cup. This birdie sports a pronounced beak, and long tail feathers. Stands 13 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. Light staining near the base. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. A shallow chip on top of the spout in the making from separation from the jug above it in the kiln.
