Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "Haxstun & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of Andrew K. Haxstun who ran the company from 1875-1882 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Leaves with Stripe Accents within and Dot Accents without.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.   
 
Excellent Condition. Wear and small flakes around the inner lid-seating ring a 3/8" flat chip inside the rim, a pinhead-size nibble outside the rim, and a couple tiny stains.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Hot spot on the left side in the making.
