    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 1 Gallon Jug made for the merchant, "Otis A. Sisson, New Bedford, Pure Concord Wine."


    The jug was made and stamped by "F. Wright & Son Stoneware, Taunton, Mass." This is the mark of the Franklin T. Wright and his son who ran their pottery from 1866 to the 1870's (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 50).


    This beauty features the pottery stamp and Dark Cobalt Stenciled Oval Label with 5 Lines of Advertising.  Very impressive looking jug!  Stands 11 1/4" tall


    Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the inside and outside of the spout, a couple small flakes on the base, and some light staining from use.  That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
