    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this great 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "F. T. Wright & Son, Stoneware,Taunton, Mass."

     

    This is the mark of the Franklin T. Wright and his son who ran their pottery from 1866 to the 1870's (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 50).

     

    This beauty features a clear Pottery Stamp and a Stenciled Cluster of Grapes Hanging from a Branch with Five Leaves.  There are 26 grapes in all.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A flat 3/16" nibble on the spout, a 3/8" chip on the underside, and some staining at the bottom of the left side and back.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
