    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Butter Crock made for "Orange County Creamery Butter, For Family Use, Hartford Butter Co., Kingsley & Smith" 

     

    Creamer butter began to be manufactured in the United States in Orange County, New York around 1860.  It was a combination of butter and cheese manufacture.  Orange County was the hub of this production and had many local farms participating.  The Hartford Butter Company is one such company and Kingsley and Smith is a company that distributed butter.  

     

    Circa 1900, this beauty features 5 Lines of Historic Advertising.  Measures 6" tall and 9 3/4" wide across the top.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A few thin water glass rings inside from use, and four narrow chips at the base (1/8" to 5/8").  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some Albany slip drips from inside on the back in the making.
