Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Little Blue and White Spongeware Butter Crock with Matching Lid.
 
Circa 1900, this beauty features an Oval Label with "BUTTER" inside and Patterned Cobalt Sponging.  Wonderful color and layout.  Matching Lid.  Measures 3 3/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide across the top.
 
Excellent Condition.  The base has some light glaze crazing inside at the bottom.  Otherwise as made.  The lid has a 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge and on the underside on the seating ring.  Otherwise as  made.  A 2" kiln touch on the very edge in the making (picture 3).
