Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Crean Pot made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."    
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Wide Stripe at the Top and Bottom and the Company Advertising in the Middle.  The lettering is a delightfully designed and reallly stands out from the light gray coloration.  Measures 8" tall and 8" wide across the top. 
 
Very Good Condition.  A 2 3/4" chip on the rim in the back.  Otherwise, as made.
