Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Salt Glaze Crock with Target Decoration.
 
It is easily attributable to one of the potteries in Red Wing, Minnesota Circa 1890.  See similar examples in Dan DePasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Stoneware Encyclopedia, p. 14.
 
This beauty features early Salt Glaze, Freehand Capacity Number, and a Target made with a Single Pour of a Slip Cup.  Measures 9 3/4" tall and 9 3/4" wide across the top.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two small chips on the bottom edge (1/4", 1/2").  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
