Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 2 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Tooled Squared Rim, Rounded Sides, and Top to Bottom Decoration Executed in Bright and Shiny Cobalt.  A straight stripe on the top and bottom frame the company advertising in an arch surrounding a floral and a fancy dash-and-dotted border, with the capacity number flanked by leaves below. Complete and crisp stenciling.  Measures 9 3/4" tall and 9" wide across the top.  
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind. A stone ping in the back in the making.
