Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made by "Hamilton & Jones."
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Company Advertising in an Arch Above a Fancy Emblem. Measures 8" tall and 8" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A 3/4" chip on the rim in the back, and some scattered light staining. No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. A kiln touch and stone ping on the far left of thhe stencil in the making.
