Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 8" Stoneware Merchant Jar made for "E. R. Lee, Fine Family Groceries, Kittanning, PA."
It was made in SW Pennsylvania, probably Greensboro.
Circa 1880, this beauty features Five Lines of Stenciled Advertising. Light gray glaze and dark cobalt for strong and desirable contrast. Stands 8" tall.
