Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Top Wavy Stripe and a Bottom  Straight Stripe that Frame the Company Advertising Surrounding a Tobacco Leaf and Surrounded by a Vine.  Complete and crisp stenciling.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition. A few faint stain runs.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
