Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "H. B. Pfaltzgraff, York, PA ."
 
This is the mark of Henry Pfaltzgraff who ran the family pottery in York in the 1870's and 1880's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp. 50-52).
 
This beauty features the pottery stamp and a classic Pfaltzgraff Decoration: The Sideways Brushed Cobalt Tulip.  An early salt glazed example.  Stands 10 1/4" tall.
 
Good Condition.  Four chips on the edge of the handle (3/8" to 1/2") and a 1" chip on the bottom edge on the left side.  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
