    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this great 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "F. T. Wright & Son, Stoneware, Taunton, Mass."

     

    This is the mark of the Franklin T. Wright and his son who ran their pottery from 1866 to the 1870's (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 50).

     

    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Stenciled Cluster of Grapes Hanging from a Branch with Five Leaves.  There are 26 grapes in all.  Stands 10" tall.

     

    Very Good Condition.  A flat 3/4" chip on top of the spout and a minor nibble on the right side of the spout.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Stone ping on the right side in the making.
