Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "F. H. Cowden, Harrisburg." 
 
This is the mark of John Wallace Cowden who ran the company with this stamp from 1880-1888 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 55-58)
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Brushed Cobalt Tulip in Bright Cobalt Blue.  The tulip has 5 leaves and a blossom with 9 petals.  Stands 11 1/4" tall
 
Very Good Condition.  A small flake and 3/4" chip on the bottom front edge.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A small stone ping, clay void, and salt drip below the decoration in the making.
