Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Cake/Butter Crock made and stamped by "Frank B. Norton, Worcester, Mass." 
 
This is the work of Frank Norton and his sons who made stoneware in Worcester using this stamp from between 1877 and 1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53). 
 
This beauty features a Cake or Butter Form, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Bold Cobalt Stylized Floral Executed with a Slip Cup.  Measures only 7" tall and 10" wide across the top. 
 
Very Good Condition.  Two 3/8" chips inside the rim, a minor nibble on the right handle, and some staining from use.   No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
