    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "Evan R. Jones, Pittston, Pa."

     

    Jones potted in Pittston in the 1870's and 1880's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 34-37).

     

    This beauty features a Tool Rim, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip with 8 Leaves and a Elaborate Blossom with 15 Petals.  Stands 10 3/4" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Three chips outside the rim (1/4", 3/8", 1").  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some bubbling in the cobalt in the making.
