    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made for the merchant "E. A. Buck, & Co., 18 Blackstone St., Boston."


    As the decoration indicates, this jug was probably made by the Ottman Brothers of Fort Edward, New York.  


    Circa 1880, this beauty features the Merchant Advertising Stamped on the Shoulder with Cobalt Wash, and a Freehand Floral in Rich Cobalt.   Stands 14 1/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A flat 7/8" chip on the top, a 1/4" ping line on the left side, and two small chips on the right side (1/8", 1/4") of the spout.  A 1" chip on the underside at the edge.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
