Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Covered Casserole Dish.  
 
Circa 1900, this beauty features a Thick Rim for Ease of Stacking, Rounded Body, and Rich Cobalt Sponging.  The lid is Domed and Adorned with Rich Cobalt Sponging as well.  The pattern is strong and the same on both the lid and base. They have been together since their making.  The base measures 3 1/2" tall and 10 1/4" wide.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Modest wear inside the base.  Otherwise, both pieces are as made. 
 
This is the best example that I have ever seen and comes from my private collection.
