Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is the super 5 Striper Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Rim with Groove for the Hot Wax Sealer, Slightly Tapered Sides, Light Gray Clay, and Five Cobalt Stripes.  The light clay forms a strong contrast with the stripes.  Stands. 8 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple very light stains, a single 1/4" flake inside the rim, some scattered surface craze lines (closeup 1), and a 1/2" line in the rim not seen inside (closeup 2).  No outer rim or base chips,  hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
