Item 12710

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, is this early 7 1/4" Stoneware Jug.

This beauty might be attributed to Frederick Carpenter who worked in Charlestown, Massachusetts from 1804-1827 and made pieces for the Boston market (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 48-49).

This jug has a great small and narrow, almost "Bottle" Form with Tooled Spout and Shoulder, and Ochre Dip on the Top and Bottom.  Stands 7 1/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A single 1/8" nibble on the base.  Otherwise, as made.
