Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "Bullard & Scott, Cambridgeport, Mass ."

 

This is the mark of Joseph O. Bullard and Alexander F. Scott who worked together from around 1870 to the end of the 19th century.  Bullard carried on until 1909. This pottery was located in Brighton, Massachusetts, but marked its wares as being from Cambridgeport (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 51).

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large Bird on a Branch Decoration that Fills the Entire Front! The bird is very well-executed with particular attention to the detail of the wing and branch. Measures  9 1/2" tall and 10 1/4" wide across the top. 

 

Very Good Condition.  A 3/8" chip inside the rim, minor nibbles and six small chips outside the rim (1/4" to 1/2").  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
