Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Merchant Jug made and stamped for "Allendale Mineral Spring Water, Geo. B. Guild & Co., 3 Beacon St., Boston." 
 
Made about 1880 (I suspect in Fort Edward, N.Y.), this beauty features Four Lines of Impressed Advertising and a Large and Fancy Floral that Fills the Front with Blue!  Stands 14" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  A 3/8" flake on top of the spout, a 1/4" chip near the bottom of the left side, a narrow 1" chip on the bottom edge on the right side, a faint 3/4" line at the base of the handle (closeup), and a couple small stains.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
