Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon 1 Gallon Decorated Stoneware Jug made by A. P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, W.V.
A. P. Donaghho made stoneware in Parkersburg, West Virginia from 1874 to 1900.
This beauty features a "1" Capacity Number framed by a Wreath of Dots with Attached "Wings". This was one of Donaghho's signature decorations. Complete stencil and bold cobalt. Stands 10 3/4" tall.
Donaghho jugs are not as common as jars, and this decoration on a jug is quite uncommon.
Excellent Condition. Small chips around the spout, a small chip on each side of the handle (1/4", 1/2"), glaze wear in the back, and some light scattered staining. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
