Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "T. F. Reppert, Greensboro, Pa." 
 
Thomas Reppert made pottery solo in Greensboro from 1884-1890 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 157-159).  
 
This beauty features the Wax Sealer Form with the Grooved Rim for Wax, Tapered Sides, and the Company Advertising Surrounding a Sheaf of Wheat.  Stands 10" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple nibbles and a 1/2" chip inside the rim.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A short vertical surface line at the base that wraps under 1" in the making and partially glaze over (closeup).
