Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Butter Crock that reads, "Compliments of Blair Bros., The Leading Grocers, Corry, PA.  Retail Dealer in Wm. J Moxley's Special Oleomargarine. Where Quality and Economy Meet."  
 
The back reads, "Made in U.S.A. for Blakeslee-Thomas Co., Inc., Buffalo, N.Y." followed by directions as to how to mix the oleomargarine
 
Dating around 1900 and made by the Sherwood Brothers of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, this beauty features Blue and White Stripes Top and Bottom that Frame a Bordered Label with 10 Lines of Advertising and a Graphic Depiction of the Moxley Oleomargarine Carton.  Crisp and complete stenciling.  Stands 7 1/2" tall.  
 
Exceptional Condition.  Both base and lid are as made.  No damage of any kind. Some smudge marks on the back in the labeling process in the making.
