Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock made and stamped by "A. L. Hyssong, Bloomsburg, PA."
This is the work of Austin Hyssong who made stoneware in Bloomsburg using this stamp from 1891 to 1914 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, p. 32).
This beauty features a Rounded Rim, Pottery Stamp, and Albany Slip Glaze. Measures 7 1/4" tall and 10 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A single 3/8" chip on the underside. Otherwise, as made!
