Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Tiny 7" Stoneware Jar with Tulip Garland. 

 

It is easily attributed to Richard Remmey who ran the family pottery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).

 

Circa 1860, this beauty features a Squared Rim, Tooled Shoulder, and a Garland of Three Brushed Cobalt Sideways Tulips Around the Middle.  The cobalt is rich and shiny. Stands just 7" tall.   

 

Excellent Condition.  A water glass ring inside.  Otherwise, no chips, hairlines, cracks, outer stains, or restoration.
