Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Gallon Churn whose distinctive decoration indicates that it was made bu Flack & Van Arsdale of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada.  They worked together from 1869-1907. 
 
Dating around 1875, this beauty features a Tall and Narrow Churn Form and a Large Striped Bird on a Fancy Branch Decoration.  Large and Wide Rim and Shoulder, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Orchid Decoration.  The orchid is executed in a bright and shiny cobalt.  Stands 19" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. Minor nibbles on the inner lid seating ring, two small chips outside the rim (1/4", 1/2"), a minor nibble on the left handle, and a 1/2" chip on the underside. No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
