Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "C. W. Braun, Buffalo, N.Y."
 
This is the mark of Charles W. Braun who ran the old Heiser pottery in Buffalo from 1857-1896 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 75).
 
Dating around 1870, this beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Folk Art Floral Decoration.  The floral has Five Petals with Interior Dashes and a Center with Criss-Cross created with a Slip Cup. Stands 14" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition. Some chippage on the spout and some scattered staining from use as shown.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
