Ready to impress your stoneware friends is this gorgeous Yellow Ware Green and Cream Butter Crock with Lid in the Daisy and Waffle Pattern.
It was made by the Hull Pottery in the early 20th century. This crock is discussed in Terry Taylor and Terry & Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 111-112. This came in at least three sizes and this one is the largest.
This beauty features a Waffle Background that Hosts Four Daisies under a Rippled Border. The lid repeats the waffle background. Green and Cream coloration. Measures 5 1/2" tall and 7 1/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. The base has some light staining inside. Otherwise, as made. The lid has some wear on the top and two small chips on the underside at the edge (1/8", 3/8"). Otherwise, as made.
