Cominig to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Red Spatterware Cup and Saucer with Deer Decoration.
Circa 1830, this beauty features a Red Spatter Glaze with the Saucer Sporting a Center Black Stag Decoration. This piece is illustrated in Earl and Ada Robacker, Spatterware and Sponge, p. 40 and labeled "seldom found."
Excellent Condition. The cup has light staining inside. Otherwise as made with a 3/16" drying/firing line at the rim (closeup). The saucer is as made. No damage.
